While dumplings are a staple now, back then, Minmin was probably the first restaurant to serve them.Back then, most customers didn't know how to pronounce the characters for "gyoza" (dumplings).The boom far exceeded expectations, and long lines of customers formed in front of Minmin's shop every day from the moment it opened.

Minmin opened its first store in Osaka in 1953 (Showa 28).This happened more than 60 years ago.It was a tiny shop with a floor space of less than 13 tsubo (approximately 43 square meters) and a menu limited to just a few items at the time, but it was here that a dish that would change the course of history was born.That's "fried dumplings"!!
